The Boston Red Sox lost their season-high 6th game of the season on Friday night, June 27th, falling to the Blue Jays at Fenway Park, 9-0. It's their longest losing streak since September 21-26, 2022.

Boston's offense was again a problem, as the Red Sox managed only 4 hits, while Toronto pounded out 16 hits. The Red Sox struck out 8 times, while Toronto only struck out twice.

Brayan Bellow went 6.0 innings allowing 8 hits and 3 runs, striking out 1 and walking 3. He did retire the final 9 of 11 batters he faced.

Luis Guerrero retired just 1 batter, allowing 2 hits and 2 runs, walking 1. Brennan Bernardino allowed 2 hits and 4 runs, walking 4.

Roman Anthony was 1-3 with his 3rd double of rhe season.

Jarren Duran, Wilyer Abreu and Ceddanne Rafaela each had a single.

Prior to the game Marcelo Mayer was placed on the bereavement list, and the Red Sox recalled Nick Sogard.who started at 3rd base and went 0-3.

Boston is now 40-43, while Toronto is 44-37. The 2 teams will play Saturday afternoon. The pregame begins at 3:10 p.m. with the 1st pitch at 4:10 p.m. on AM 1370 WDEA.
