Trevor Story Leads Red Sox To Victory Over Cleveland

The Boston Red Sox beat the Cleveland Guardians 6-4 on Monday, September 1st, Labor Day at Fenway Park. The win put Boston in a tie for 2nd place, and for the top Wild Card spot with the New York Yankees, 2.5 games behind the 1st place Toronto Blue Jays.

Boston has won 6 of their last games and are an AL-best 35-18 since July 1st.

Trevor Story was 3-4 with a solo home run that was awarded via replay in the 6th inning. He drove in 2 runs. The homer was his team-leading 23rd of the season and he leads the team with 86 runs batted in.
