Basketball Monday Afternoon December 31st

This afternoon, Monday, December 31st WDEA AM 1370 will have a basketball doubleheader, with Ellsworth hosting Orono from Katsiaficas Gymnasium at Ellsworth High School.

At 1PM, the Ellsworth Girls will tipoff with the Orono Red Riots, and that game will be followed by the Ellsworth-Orono Boys game. Pregame begins at approximately 12:45.

The Ellsworth Girls begin the day in 6th place in the Heal Point Standings with a 5-1 record. The Eagles are riding a 4 game winning streak. Orono is in 8th place with a 2-4 record. Ellsworth beat Orono in Orono 45-41 in the 1st game of the season back on December 8th.

The Ellsworth Boys begin the day in 7th place with a 4-2 record. The Eagles split the series with Presque Isle and Caribou on Thursday and Friday, beating Presque Isle 61-45 on Thursday before losing to Caribou 70-56 on Friday. Ellsworth lost to Orono 65-55 in Orono in the 1st game of the season back on December 8th.
