Bar-S Foods Company Announces Hot Dog Recall
Might not want to BBQ tonight! The Bar-S Food Company announced a recall on their hot dog products after the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Tuesday some may contain listeria.
The ready-to-eat, chicken and pork hot dog and corn dog items produced July 10, 11, 12, and 13, 2016 are being recalled in all 50 states.
The threat of listeria contamination is the reason and symptoms can include: fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions sometimes preceded by diarrhea or other gastrointestinal symptoms.
Symptoms are more likely to affect older adults, newborns, pregnant women, and those with weak immune systems.
