
Bar Harbor Fire Department to Offer Free Narcan and Stop the Bleed Training March 11
The Bar Harbor Fire Department will be offering a FREE Narcan Training and Stop the Bleed Training on Tuesday March 11th at MDI High School at 6 p.m.
The class is only 1 hour long.
During the class you will learn how to recognize signs of an opioid overdose and how to administer the opioid reversal drug Narcan/Nalaxone. Everyone attending the class will receive a free dose of Narcan.
You will also learn how to control bleeding. You'll gain the ability to recognize life threatening bleeding and act quickly with 3 quick techniques. The number 1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. Stop the Bleed classes will empower you to make a difference in a life or death situation.
