The Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Awards Dinner on Friday night, October 28th.

Cadillac Award Winner: - Dave Woodside from the Acadia Corporation

I was privileged to be awarded the Cadillac Award in 2023 and I congratulate Dave on his award and very worthy recognition.  The Cadillac Award is given to a person who epitomizes the virtues of leadership, service, sacrifice, and the quest for personal excellence. The individual who through work within an industry, an organization, or the community as a whole has demonstrated a rock-solid commitment and dedication to the highest standards of business practice, ethical conduct, and selfless public service.

Criteria:
1. Has made a commitment to good business practices, standards, and ethics.
2. Strives toward the highest levels of professional accomplishment.
3. Is an inspiration to the community and a credit to their business or profession.
4. Gives of their time and expertise to make Bar Harbor/Mount Desert Island a better community.
5. Unselfishly puts the needs of others ahead of their own.

President's Award - Melanie Graten. Mel was selected by President Bo Jennings and she certainly deserves this award. Melanie just recently resigned from the Chamber after 14 years of exceptional service to take a job closer to home with RSU 24.

Rising Star Award - Bar Harbor Lobster Pound. This award is given to a business that while still in their early years, has shown significant growth and progress in their business and community endeavors.

Neighbor Business of the Year - Scenic Flights of Acadia. This award is given to a business member located outside of Bar Harbor who has made meaningful contributions to the local business community and displays an overall commitment to its employees and customers.

Community Impact Award - Witham Family Hotels Charitable Fund. This award honors a business or individual who displays an extraordinary commitment to making our community a better place for its residents, businesses and guests.

Business of the Year - Geddy's. This award is given to a member business that has demonstrated a commitment to high standards of customer service, employee relations and operational excellence.
