The Bangor Girl's Basketball Team beat Ellsworth 42-35 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium on Tuesday, January 6th.

Ellsworth raced out to a 8-0 lead but Bangor battled back to cut Ellsworth's lead to 3 at the end of the 1st Quarter 10-7. Bangor took the lead for good with 3:32 left to play in the 1st Half, 14-12, and led at the Half 20-16, as they outscored Ellsworth 13-6 in the 2nd Quarter. The Rams led 30-24 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

The Rams sank 7 3-pointers in the game.

Bangor was led by Dalaney Horr with 15 points, including 4 3-pointers. Lucy O'Connell had 13 points with 3 3-pointers. Bangor was 3-4 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth was led by Kaylee Bagley with 10 points. Allie Bivins had 9 points. Sydney Mason and Elizabeth Boles each had 7 points with a 3-pointer. The Eagles were 7-12 from the free throw line.

Bangor is now 8-1 and move from 5th to 2nd in the North Class A Heal Point Standings. They will host Old Town on Friday, January 9th at 5:30 p.m.

Ellsworth is now 7-2. They drop from 2nd to 3rd in the North Class B Heal Point Standings. They will travel to Hampden Academy to play the Broncos on Thursday, January 8th at 6:30 p.m.
