Description of Event:

Outages due to strong winds and heavy rain

Restoration Details:The focus will be on Hancock County this evening, as Bangor Hydro crews work to restore power to the remaining customers affected by Friday's high winds. Extra crews have been deployed to affected areas, some of which are remote locations making restoration efforts more time consuming. Crews have made great progress with the favorable weather conditions today and are prepared to work into the night to restore power to all customers.

Customers are reminded that it is extremely dangerous and possibly deadly to use generators inside a home or garage. Any alternate heat source or power source must be used in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines to prevent injury or even death. Customers should also avoid touching fallen power lines and trees touching them and report these dangerous situations to Bangor Hydro.
