#4 MDI Rallies to Beat #5 Winslow 46-38 [PHOTOS/STATS]

The #4 MDI Trojans Boys Basketball Team trailed most of the game against the #5 Winslow Black Raiders, but managed to tie the game at 34-34 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. The Trojans outscored Winslow 12-4 in the 4th Quarter and beat Winslow 46-38 on Saturday, February 15th in a Class B North Quarterfinal from the Cross Insurance Center.

Winslow led 16-9 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 21-15 at the end of the 1st Half, before MDI outscored them 19-13 in the 3rd Quarter to tie the game 34-34.

MDI was led by James Witham with 15 points, including 2 3-pointers. Dylan Stoll had 11 points with 2 3-pointers. MDI was 8-12 from the free throw line.

Winslow was led by Brady Poulin with 15 points and 1 3-pointer. Carter Calvo had 10 points with a 3-pointer. Brody Willette and Branden Rodrigue each had a 3-pointer. The Black Raiders were 4-7 from the free throw line.

#4 MDI will now take on #1 Caribou on Wednesday night, February 19th at 8:30 p.m. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA. It will also be heard on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device
