300 Without Power on the Island

According to Bob Potts, Bangor Hydro Electric Company's spokesperson, 300 customers are without power as of 9:40 PM in the area surrounding Cap'n Nemos in Bass Harbor. At about 8:15 PM over 4000 were without power, when the fire department requested that Bangor Hydro cut the power to assist the fire crews in putting out the fire at Cap'n Nemos.

There is no estimate when power will be restored as Bangor Hydro crews are not allowed near the fire scene as the fire departments are still working to extinguish the fire.
