3 Honored From Ellsworth Basketball on Saturday

Saturday March 12th was a good day for the Ellsworth High School Basketball Program

In between games at the McDonald's All-Star games at Husson University, Ellsworth Girl's Coach Andy Pooler, Ellsworth Boy's Coach Peter Austin and Ellsworth High School Senior Hunter Curtis were honored.

The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches recognizes coaches who reached significant win milestones during the past year. Pooler won his 100th game with a victory in Presque Isle on January 1st. Peter Austin, who won his 100th game on February 7, 2015, won his 200th game on February 23rd when Ellsworth beat Old Town in the semifinals

Curtis, who scored his 1000th point on February 16th, was honored for being a Mr. Basketball Finalist, as one of the top-3 seniors in the State.
