23rd Annual Marty Lyons Classic to be Held This Weekend in Bar Harbor

The 23rd Annual Marty Lyons Classic  will be held this weekend, August 5th-7th in Bar Harbor. This double elimination tournament honors Marty Lyons who was instrumental in the early days of Little League Baseball on Mount Desert Island and Trenton.

The Classic features 2 divisions, a Minor League Division for those 9 and 10 years old and a Major League Division for those 11 and 12 years old.

Competing in the Major League Division are

• Hermon All-Stars
• Caribou Little League
• Ellsworth Little League
• Acadian All-Starts
• Old Town Little League
• Newport Green Lions

Competing in the Minor League Division are

• Bronco All-Stars
• Old Town All-Stars
• Acadian All-Stars

• Friday August 5 Caribou Little League vs. Ellsworth Little League 5:30 p.m.
• Friday August 5 Acadian All-Stars vs. Old Town Little League 5:30 p.m.
• Saturday August 6 - Bronco All-Stars vs. Hermon All-Stars 8 a.m.
• Saturday August 6  - Loser Caribou-Ellsworth Game vs. Loser Acadian - Old Town Game 8 a.m.
• Saturday August 6 - Winner Caribou-Ellsworth vs. Winner Acadian-Old Town Game 10 a.m.
• Saturday August 6 - Newport Green Lions vs. Winner of Bronco-Hermon Game 12 noon
