MDI students Sara Todd and Nick Duley and Ellsworth High School student Matthew Frost will be heading to the Dominican Republic on February 10, 2018 as part of the Hancock County Medical Mission.

The Hancock County Medical Mission consists of medical providers, nurses, translators and general helpers who devote their February vacation to help those in Latin America.

This year's mission provides major and minor surgeries to those who cannot access the care they need as well as providing primary care, vision checks, dental care and health teaching.

Todd, Duley and Frost will be part of the mission as helpers and translators. This is the 20th year of the Student Scholarship Program.

A GoFundMe page has been set up with the goal of raising $10,000. Donations will go  toward assisting volunteers with trip costs, paying the students' way, and buying surgical supplies.
