It's hard to believe that Saturday, February 8th will be our 18th Annual Ton of Pasta event, where our radio stations will be out in the communities, collecting pasta and more for local food pantries! We will have radio stations at the Ellsworth Hannaford, Brewer Hannaford, and Union Street Hannaford in Bangor.

DJ Fred and I will be at the Ellsworth Hannaford on Saturday, February 8th from 9 a.m.to 2 1 p.m.and all the food we collect will be split up between the Emmaus Shelter in Ellsworth, the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Ellsworth, Community Closet and the Bar Harbor Food Pantry!

Through the generosity of our listeners and the community, we collected over 1 ton of pasta in Ellsworth alone last year. Throughout the 17 previous years, we have collected around 60 tons of pasta, and when you realize that a box of pasta can feed a family of 4, that means that through your contributions, we have potentially provided food for as many as 480.000 meals! That's a whole lot of pasta!

Scott, Cindy and the rest of the Q-106.5 DJ's will be at  the Hannaford in Brewer.

Kid & Sarah will be at the Hannaford on Union Street collecting  pasta. Everything they collect will be distributed through Penquis  to other local area food pantries and  those who need it.

If you are in Southwest Harbor, you can drop pasta off at the Southwest Food Mart anytime through February 7th and this will all go to the Bar Harbor Food Pantry!
