The Trenton Volunteer Fire Department has placed its new to them Truck 212 in service! This truck was purchased without taxpayer funds thanks to the continued community support of the Fire Department's fundraising efforts including their pancake breakfasts, donation letters and bottle return bin.

Truck 212 is a 1997 E-One 75 foot ladder truck which was purchased from Racine, Wisconsin. It has a 1500 gallon per minute pump and a 500 gallon water tank. Truck 212 replaces Rescue 1 and carries the jaws of life and other rescue equipment.

The Trenton Volunteer Fire Department wanted a multi-functional vehicle that could store all the equipment and supply them with the safety of an aerial device. Their service territory is seeing more and more commercial businesses and homes with metal roofs. Using Truck 212 the men and women of the Trenton Volunteer Fire Department will be able to access these roofs quicker and and safer than using standard ground ladders.
