The Boston Red Sox lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night, August 25th at Fenway. It marked the return of former Red Sox Mookie Betts, Kike Hernandez and Ryan Brasier to Fenway.

The Red Sox led 3-0 going into the 6th inning, when the Dodgers scored 3 runs to tie the game at 3-3 and then the Dodgers scored 3 more runs in the 7th inning to take the lead.


Trevor Story was 2-4, hitting a 2-run homer in the 2nd inning, his 1st of the season.

Reese McGuire was 3-4 with a double.

Rafael Devers was 2-4.

Kutter Crawford went 5.0 innings for Boston. He allowed 4 hits and 2 runs, striking out 7 and walking a batter.

Nick Pivetta took the loss and is now 9-7. He pitched 2 innings allowing 3 hits and 4 runs, striking out 3 and walking 2.

Freddie Freeman was 4-5 for the Dodgers with a double.

Mookie Betts was 1-4 with a double, and now has a 13 game hitting streak. He scored twice.

Kike Hernandez was 1-5 driving in a run.
