Red Flag Warning In Effect Friday

If you were planning on cleaning up the yard and burning some brush today DON'T! The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Red Flag Warning from 1 PM Friday through 8 PM Friday for high fire danger in Hancock County, Washington County, Southern Penobscot County and Southern Piscataquis County.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures will create dangerous fire weather conditions.
