Last year's winter proved to be a dud for snow lovers, but I thought it was a welcome change from the old fashioned winters we have had in recent years. Personally, I liked the fact that we didn't get a ton of snow and winter was relatively mild. But all that is about to change if you believe The Old Farmer's Almanac!

Celebrating 225 years, The Old Farmer's Almanac is calling for a colder than normal winter, on average, with slightly above-normal precipitation and near-normal snowfall. The coldest periods will be in mid- and late December, mid- and late January, mid-February, and early March. The snowiest periods will be in mid-November, late January, mid- and late February, and early to mid-March.

Bangor  averages 66.1 inches of snow a winter, while Acadia National Park averages 71.8 inches. So I want to know
