Producers of North Woods Law Plan New Production

The Maine Film Office has issued a media production certificate to Emmy Award-winning, Engel Entertainment. The certification means Maine could once again be the backdrop for a new reality TV series.

The New York-based production company is planning to shoot a pilot in the Bangor area starting this Friday, August 16. According to Engel Entertainment, the pilot focuses on a "very unique Maine family". If the pilot is successful, the new show would air on ABC Family.

The producers are expected to employ about three Maine residents and have a direct spend of more than $170,000 for the week long shoot in Maine.
