Pardoned Presidential Turkeys Still Die!

Ugh... and here I thought they went to live at Mount Vernon or Disneyland in tranquility for the rest of their lives. But as the video explains, it's just a temporary reprieve. The turkeys raised for thanksgiving dinner weigh up to 40 pounds and wild turkeys average 18 pounds, and as a result, the turkey's circulatory system can't handle the extra weight for long!
