After 15 years, Don Orsillo's broadcast career with the Boston Red Sox came to an end on October 4, 2015. Orsillo, whose contract wasn't renewed by the Red Sox, has signed to be part of the San Diego Padres broadcast team in 2016. In the bottom of the 8th inning, Orsillo finally addressed Red Sox nation.

In a classy move, and in a sign of repsect, after the final out of the game, the entire Red Sox team and coaches came out of the dugout and pointed to the NESN broadcast booth where Don Orsillo was.
