Northeast Harbor won’t be a small sleepy town on Saturday, December 2nd with the Northeast Harbor Christmas Festival, a day full of activities highlighted by Santa’s arrival at the Marina aboard the Sunbeam at 3:25 p.m.

The activities include

Frosty 5K - Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Neighborhood House. Walkers and children begin at 9:30 and the run starts at 10 a.m.

Holiday Card and Snowflake Making - 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Northeast Harbor Library

Santa's Workshop - 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Neighborhood House. Children can bring canned goods or non-perishable food items for the food pantry then shop and wrap up to 4 gifts with a personal shopper

Make a Jingle Bell Noisemaker Craft - 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Maine Seacoast Mission

Open House at the new Mount Desert Fire Station - 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.  at 3 Old Firehouse Lane

Santa and Mrs. Claus Arrive on the Maine Sea Coast Mission's Subbeam at 3:25 p.m. at the Marina

Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus - On the porch of Carter Real Estate from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m.

Tree Lighting  and Bonfire - Great Harbor Maritime Museum 4. The Tree Lighting is at 4 p.m. and the Bonfire begins at 4:30 p.m. Enjoy a Holiday Photobooth from 4 to 6:30 p.m to benefit the Mount Desert Elementary School PTO inside the museum. ($20.00 suggested donation for the photobooth includes 1 high-resolution digital file. Donations will go towards teacher grants and the the Mount Desert Elementary School's 8th grade class graduation trip.)

Maine Seacoast Mission Open House 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
