According to the National Weather Service

  • There is an increasing likelihood that Northern Maine will have impacts from Hurricane Lee beginning on Friday morning.
  • Tropical storm force winds, coastal flooding and high surf and river flooding are all possible impacts from the storm
  • The high surf will begin impacting the coast Friday morning.
  • The earliest possible arrival for strong winds is Saturday morning, with the greatest chance for tropical storm winds across the coast. The leaves on the trees and heavily saturated ground will enhance damage potential.
