With one swing of the bat in the 5th inning Hanley Ramirez turned a 4-1 deficit into a 5-4 lead. It may not have ended up as the game winning hit but it was the biggest in an 8-6 wild win for the Red Sox Wednesday afternoon.

The Sox actually took a 6-4 lead until the Boston bullpen came into play again, coughing up the lead in the 8th inning.

The offense scored twice in the bottom of the 8th to bail out the pen.

Craig Kimbrel pitched a 1-2-3 9th to get the save.

The Red Sox are off on Thursday after playing 23 games in 23 days. The Red Sox were 14-9 in that stretch. They travel to Oakland to play the A's Friday night with the pregame starting at 9:20 on AM 1370 WDEA.
