The New England Patriots defeated the Cleveland Browns 27-26 on Sunday, December 8th, but it was not without a great cost, as Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports has reported that Rob Gronkowski tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Gronkowski caught a 21 yard pass in the 3rd quarter and was submarined by T.J. Ward of the Browns. Gronkowski was carted off the field, and his season would be over if his ACL is torn.
