Lefty Henry Owens pitched the first two innings in the Red Sox exhibition opener vs the Minnesota Twins. He did not give up any runs but other Sox pitchers did and the Twins won 7-4.

Owens struck out five but walked two and gave up two hits in his outing.

Lefty Brian Johnson had the toughest outing - 1.2 innings, two runs allowed on two hits and a walk.

The Red Sox take on the Minnesota Twins Thursday night at 7 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA. Rick Porcello will take the mound for the Red Sox and is expected to pitch 2 innings before giving way to others.
