As you are out and about shopping on Saturday, November 18th please stop by and see the Ellsworth Rotarians who will be in front of the Ellsworth Hannaford from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  for their annual Food Drive to benefit the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.

They will be accepting food or monetary donations to help those in need in Hancock County.

This year they have added a challenge "The 2 Tons of Turkey Challenge!" They are hoping that members of the community can donate 2 Tons of Turkey to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. Based on the average weight of 15 pounds, that means they are hoping the community will be able to donate 267 turkeys!  In lieu of a turkey, 2 chickens or a ham would be appreciated!

If you can't make it to the actual Food Drive, turkeys may be dropped of at the Loaves and Fishes Food Party during their operating hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

If you live out of the area and wish to make a donation, you can write a check in the amount of $20.0 to the Rotary Club of Ellsworth and mail it to PO Box 741, Ellsworth, Maine 04605.

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!
