It was a beautiful but cold night, with a full moon for the Ellsworth Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 25th.

The tree lighting took place in the Ellsworth City Hall Parking Lot, with about 400 in attendance. Everyone was treated to hot chocolate and cookies and The Crown Vics entertained for a good hour. There were firepits set up in the parklet to try and keep everyone warm.

The Cast of "Elf" which will be playing at The Grand sang a few songs, prior to the tree lighting. City Manager Glenn Moshier and Council Chair Michelle Beal offered remarks prior to the lighting.

Check out some of the photos from the lighting. Don't forget the 43rd Annual Ellsworth Christmas Tree Parade takes place Saturday, December 2nd, with the parade stepping off at 4 p.m.
