Remember the ice storm towards the end of 2013? It seems so long ago, but many residents of Ellsworth are still picking up the broken tree branches and limbs, especially now that the weather is finally nice.

The City of Ellsworth is offering a free cleanup for wood debris from the December Ice Storm beginning Saturday, May 24, 2014 through Saturday, June 1, 2014. The collection will occur at Ellsworth Demo located directly behind the Ellsworth Transfer Station. Proof of residency required –  you will need to bring ID and motor vehicle registration or a tax or utilities bill showing your property location. Limit one truck load per household.
The hours of operation at Ellsworth Demo for that week are as follows:
Open - Saturday, May 24, 2014 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2014 thru Friday, May 30, 2014 7:00a.m. – 4:00p.m., and Saturday, June 1, 2014 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.
Closed - Sunday, May 25, 2014 and Monday, May 26, 2014(Memorial Day)
