It's been a tough year for the Harbor House in Southwest Harbor. Many of their fundraising activities such the Great Harbor Shoot-Out, Lobsters on the Sound, the Flamingo Fest have all been cancelled because of COVID-19 but the demand for their services have increased.

Matt Haney the Principal of MDI High School joined WDEA's Chris Popper on Monday, August 31st to talk about the beginning of school, pick-up of computers, textbooks, interscholastic activities, the schedule, food pick-up and more.

Jamie Young, who is currently a teacher at the Conners-Emerson School in Bar Harbor will be teaching virtual classes this year, district wide. While teachers have normally dipped into their own pockets to provide supplies for their classes, this year the normal isn't going to be enough.
