It was a cloudy, foggy start to the final Monday of August this morning. I had high hopes of seeing a beautiful sunrise as sunrise was at 5:52 a.m. but Mother Nature had other ideas. All photos were taken between 5:55 a.m. and 6:05 a.m.

Today is Saturday, August 28th. For most, it's the last Saturday of "summer" as school begins for most sometime this week! Incredible, to think how quickly time passes! Make the most of today! The remnants of Henri started to say "adieu". Clear skies were noted in Bar Harbor while it was still "Fogust" in Southwest Harbor, Bass Harbor, Northeast Harbor and Ellsworth Tuesday morning

The Hancock County Planning Commission will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, August 28th. The collection will take place at Ellsworth High School from 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m. This collection will be for Liquid Materials hazardous waste only! No electronics or other hardware products will be accepted.

Monday morning was the foggiest morning of "Fogust" to date! As we whipped around the Downeast Tower Cams I was amazed at the level of fog! Sunrise this morning was at 5:44 a.m. and low tide was at 6:01 a.m. All photos were taken between 6 a.m. and 6:15 a.m.

There was a fog advisory early this Saturday morning, August 21st for Downeast Maine. With sunrise this morning at 5:41 a.m. I was looking at the Tower Cams in hopes of seeing the sunrise. Unfortunately, it was mostly cloudy, although warm, with temperatures between 66-69 degrees.
