Art students at Mount Desert Elementary School have been learning about pottery and are inviting you to their Empty Bowls Service Learning Project on Tuesday, March 21st from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor.

There will be a FREE NARCAN Training Course at the Northeast Harbor Public Library in Northeast Harbor on Thursday, February 16th at 5:30 p.m.

Cancer sucks! There's no nicer way to put it. And when you are a 10 year old with cancer it sucks even worse! The toll it takes on the body, the family and the finances are just unimaginable. That's why the Island Community is getting together this Saturday, January 28th for a community fundraiser/dinner to help 10 year old Journey Rose defeat cancer!

The Sweetheart Valentine's Dance at the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor returns and is set for Friday, February 10th from 6 to 8 p.m., with a snow day of Saturday, February 11th. Tickets are $20 per "couple" and $10 for each additional child.

Kudos to members of the Mount Desert Island Education Association (MDIEA) who in December raised $765.00 to donate to the Backpack Program, OpenTable MDI and the Bar Harbor Food Pantry.

Northeast Harbor won’t be a small sleepy town on Saturday, December 3rd with the Northeast Harbor Christmas Festival, a day full of activities highlighted by Santa’s arrival at the Marina aboard the Sunbeam at 3:30 p.m.
