MDI Baseball Falls 3-2 Friday

The MDI Baseball Team fell to Foxcroft Academy 3-2 on Friday, May 5th in the rain in Bar Harbor. The Ponies led 1-0 at the end of the 3rd inning and it was 2-0 in the 6th before MDI scored in the bottom of the 6th inning to make it 2-1. Foxcroft Academy pushed across another run in the top of the 7th inning to make it 3-1. The Trojans battled back to plate another in the bottom of the inning but came up short 3-2.

The MDI Boy's Baseball Team handed the Hermon Hawks their 1st loss of the season on Thursday, May 4th, beating them 2-1 in Bar Harbor. The Trojans scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to win on Riley Swanson's single.

MDI Girls Track and Field 3rd

The MDI Girl's Track and Field Team finished 3rd in the home Track and Field Meet on Saturday, April 29th. The Team will compete next Saturday in Brewer on May 7th. Caribou finished 1st with 222 points, Old Town 2nd at 154 points, MDI 3rd with 130 points, Narraguagus  and Mattanawcook Academy were tied for 4th with 26 points, and Fort Kent finished 6th with 19 points. MDI Boys Track and Field 1st

The MDI Boy's Track and Field Team finished 1st in the home meet on Saturday, April 29th. The Trojans had 229.50 points, 2nd was Caribou with 159 points, Old Town 3rd with 111.50 points, Mattanawcook Academy 4th with 53 points, Fort Kent 5th with 13 points and Narraguagus finished 6th with 12 points. MDI High School was ranked the 12th best high school in the State of Maine in the recent ratings by US News and World Report. The Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone was the top ranked school.
