Bonny Eagle Student Killed and 2 Others Injured in Early Morning Crash
A student from Bonny Eagle High School in the town of Buxton has died and two others were injured in a car accident Thursday morning.
Frank Sherburne, Superintendent of Schools for MSAD 6 posted a statement on the district's Facebook page, relaying the news of the accident. The crash happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Turkey Road in Buxton. Three students were involved in the crash and one died at the scene. The other two were taken to the hospital, but there's no word on how badly they were injured. Sherburne says there was a fourth person in the vehicle but no information was available about their identity or condition.
Names have not been released, pending notification of family. Sherburne said the Bonny Eagle crisis team has been activated to offer support to students and staff.
