Bangor Makes AARP’s Top 5!

I just received my AARP Magazine (I know, I don't look like I'm eligible), and there's a bit of good news in it! Bangor, Maine, my hometown was named as one of the Top 5 Cities in the United States for Retiring On the Cheap! To clarify, cheap is $30,000 a year.

The editors of AARP considered  factors such as median home prices and property taxes, as well as quality of life  factors such as inexpensive entertainment and restaurants.

The Top 5 cities are

• Pocatello, Idaho
• Bangor, Maine
• Greenville, South Carolina
• Grand Rapids, Michigan
• Daytona-Deltona-Ormond Beach, Florida
