Chris is WDEA's "Sports Guy"! He has been broadcasting MDI and Ellsworth Basketball games for the past 10 years and this is the 9th year of broadcasting MDI Football. He is the 2013 Electronic Media Award winner from the Maine Interscholastic Athletic Administrator's Association in recognition for outstanding electronic media contributions to Maine Interscholastic Athletics. He is the 2015 Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce President’s Award Winner for Sustained and Exceptional Service to the Community In addition to broadcasting the sporting events for Townsquare Media, Chris sells advertising on the Townsquare Media stations. Love Letters of MDI

We all need some positive affirmation in our life. Thank-yous, words of appreciation and kindness go so much further than one can imagine. That's what Love Letters of MDI is trying to tap into. For 2 weeks April 14th through April 28th, there will be an Appreciation Station set up at the Jesup Memorial Library on Mount Desert Street in Bar Harbor.

Wright Was Wrong Wednesday Red Sox Shelled 12-5

The Boston Red Sox lost their 1st home game of the 2017 season, losing to the Baltimore Orioles 12-5 on Wednesday, April 12th and are now 4-4 on the season. Knuckleballer Steven Wright was shelled giving up 6 runs in the 1st inning 2 in the second and allowing 4 homers before he was removed to a chorus of boos.

Red Sox Beat Baltimore 8-1 [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox enjoyed a little home cooking, returning to Fenway Park after a 4 game series in Detroit, and beat the Baltimore Orioles Tuesday night, April 11th 8-1.  The Red Sox are now 3-0 at Fenway. It's just the 2nd time since 2002 that the Red Sox have started the season with 3 straight wins at Fenway Park. The 2 teams finish their brief 2 game series Tuesday night, April 12th.
