25 years ago today, we were getting ready for our wedding tomorrow! I remember that Bonnie was staying at my parents house, in Wellesley, Massachusetts and we had a full day of errands and things to accomplish!

We had our wedding rehearsal at St. Bridget's Church and if I remember correctly, we were slightly late. Monsignor Sullivan, who was a close friend of the family, was officiating the wedding, and he was being very serious, while Bonnie was not quite as serious as he wished. We had to practice going up and down the aisle for what seemed like an eternity!

After the rehearsal, we had the rehearsal dinner at my parent's house, with a cook-out and plenty of liquid refreshment. It was the first time that many of Bonnie's relatives were meeting my relatives, and it might have been the first time that Bonnie's Dad, met my parents. I know we spent plenty of time shuttling around making sure that everyone was mixing well!

Then, it was time for Bonnie and her maid of honor, Julia to leave. They were spending the night before the wedding at my grandfather's house in Framingham, where my mother and her sisters had grown up. I remember kissing her good-bye, and knowing that the next time I saw her, it would be at the Church, and we would be getting married!

I don't think I slept well that night! So many thoughts were going through my mind, and I was very excited to know that I would be spending the rest of my life with my best friend! 24 years and 364 days later, I know that I made the best decision of my life when we were married. Not all the days have been easy, but we've never gone to bed angry, and I'm excited to see what the remainder of our lives hold for us, but one thing is certain, we will face it together, like we have the last 24 years and 364 days!

Happy Almost Anniversary!
