Wind-Rain Causing Power Outages

There were approximately 1600 Emera Maine customers in Hancock County without power on Saturday night as of 10:10 PM. All together there were a little over 1800 customers without power.

Power outages are likely to continue with the forecast calling for continued steady winds 20-30 miles per hour and gusts up to 45 miles per hour tonight into tomorrow. The trees are heavy and full with leaves and the wind and rain is likely to cause broken tree limbs.
