Valerie Harper Rushed to Hospital in Maine

Valerie Harper, 75, was taken by ambulance to York hospital in Southern Maine on Wednesday night. Harper is appearing at the Ogunquint Playhouse in the summer rendition of "Nice Work if You Can Get It"

Harper, who has terminal brain cancer, was resting in York Hospital on Thursday, according to Variety Magazine.

“She is resting comfortably and will remain in the hospital for observation for the time being,” Ogunquit Playhouse’s Executive Artistic Director Bradford T. Kenney said in a statement on Thursday.

Harper is best known for her role as Rhoda in the Mary Tyler Moore Show, and the same show bearing her name, Rhoda. She also appeared on Dancing With the Stars in 2013.
