Ellsworth High School student Connor Petros has made an excellent short film called "Main Street." The film highlights an important message about how those who are less fortunate are sometimes treated.

Earlier today, we posted the PVC Baseball All Star Team and the PVC Softball All Star Team. I wanted to separately post the All Academic Teams for the PVC because quite honestly, they deserve it! It's easy to forget that these are students, but that's exactly what they are, student-athletes, and they deserve all the accolades!

The PVC Softball Coaches have voted and the Penobscot Valley Conference Class B Softball All-Stars have been selected. The coaches voted for the girls, regardless of position.

Ellsworth High School's principal, Renee Thompson will be leaving the school as she has been hired to be the new principal of Oceanside East High School in Rockland. Thompson will begin her new position in August. Ellsworth Superintendent of Schools Dan Higgins accepted Renee Thompson's resignation this morning (July 11)...
