Happy Birthday Maine! The State of Maine turns 196 today, and I am thrilled that I'm going to be celebrating with the 2nd Grade Class at Hancock Grammar School! It seems appropriate that they're celebrating the completion of their 50 Postcard Challenge and collecting over 500 Postcards on Maine's Birthday!

Indiana finally delivered for the Hancock Grammar School! The 2nd Grade at Hancock Grammar School had received postcards from 49 states, and was only missing Indiana but, Indiana delivered big time with 5 postcards on Monday, March 7th.
Earlier this week, five states announced plans to add a minimum of 300 extra hours to molding young minds in the classroom next year in hopes of strengthening the American student performance.
