SPCA of Hancock County Community Adoption Event – October 12
The SPCA of Hancock County invites you to an Adoption and Community event on Saturday, October 12th from Noon to 4 at Stanley Subaru in Trenton.
Through the generosity of Stanley Subaru they will be able to off $75.00 adoptions for all animals to adopters approved prior to the event. So, if you are looking to adopt a pet, get approved prior to October 12th!
If you aren't looking to adopt, they will have a free microchip clinic for community pets, food, a face painter and of course, animals!
According to Jessica Redimarkers, the Operations Manager of the SPCA of Hancock County
Microchipping is essential. Even with indoor-only pets, accidents happen. Microchipping is the best "insurance" you have for reuniting with a lost pet. Unfortunately, is is estimated that 1 in 3 pets will go missing in their lifetime. According to AMVA, microchipped dogs have double the chance of being reunited with their owners. For microchipped cats, the chance is even higher. We come across many pets that have microchips but they aren't registered to their owners. We will register the microchip for you if it isn't already, to help protect your pet.
