The Boston Red Sox won for the just the 2nd time in the month of May, and Clay Buchholz picked up his 2nd win of the season, the first since Opening Day, as the Red Sox beat the Toronto Blue Jays 6-3.

The key to the Red Sox victory? Scoring some runs, and the Red Sox put up a 4 spot in the top of the 1st inning. Mookie Betts led off the game with a triple, scoring on a Dustin Pedroia single, and then Mike Napoli's hit his 3rd homer of the season, a 3 run shot. In the 5th inning Pablo Sandoval hit his 3rd homer of the season, with 1 on.

Clay Buchholz pitched 6.1 innings allowing 3 runs, all earned. He gave up 7 hits, walked 3 and struck out 3. Buchholz is now 2-4 on the season with a 5.73 ERA. Koji Uehara pitched the 9th for his 6th save.

Prior to the game, the Red Sox recalled Steven Wright and Jackie Bradley Jr. optioning Robbie Ross and Alan Craig to Triple A Pawtucket.

The Red Sox now travel to Oakland for a 3 game series. Rick Porcello takes the mound for the Red Sox with a 3-2 4.38 ERA. Scott Kazmir will pitch for Oakland. He is 2-1 with a 2.75 ERA. The pregame starts at 9: 20 PM with the first pitch at 10:05 PM.
