Despite a better performance on the mound by Clay Buchholz, the Boston Red Sox could not get the offense going in a 4-1 loss to Baltimore.Chris Tillman shut down the Sox bats allowing just 6 hits and 1 run while pitching into the 6th inning. The Baltimore bullpen handled the rest with 3.2 innings of scoreless ball.

Chris Davis led the O's with 2 hits including a 2-run homer while Mane native Ryan Flaherty also contributed 2 hits.

Boston pitcher Clay Buchholz did show signs of improvement from his last start. While he did allow 11 hits, he was able to get big outs when he needed them. Buchholz went 6 innings and allowed just 2 runs to go along with 7 strikeouts.

At the plate both David Ortiz and Brock Holt had 3 hits. Unfortunately the only other hit the team could manage came off the bat of Mike Napoli.
