Officials in Houlton are searching for a possible plane crash. The aircraft was thought, at first, to be running late, but never showed at the airport.

Maine State Police Lieutenant Brian Harris says the search is centering, at this point, around the airport. Customs and Border Patrol officer, who were waiting for the plane, said they heard what sounded like an engine failing and a crash. It was due at the airport at one o'clock this morning, but never arrived.

Anyone with any information about the plane is urged to call the Houlton Police Department at (207) 532-2287 or the Maine State Police at (207) 532-5400.
