Murder Warrant Issued for Robert Burton, Pickup Trucks Recovered [UPDATE]
A man sought by police since last Friday has been formally charged with murder. In addition, his pickup truck, along with another stolen from Guilford over the weekend, have both been recovered.
Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says an arrest warrant has been issued for Robert Burton, in connection with a homicide in Parkman. Burton is accused of killing his former girlfriend, Stephanie Gebo, whose body was found by her children on Friday.
Police have located Burton's black Toyota pickup truck, and a second truck that was stolen overnight. Both vehicles are currently in Piscataquis County but police are not revealing where they're being held. The Toyota belongs to Burton and police believe he is also responsible for stealing the second vehicle.
Burton is considered armed and dangerous. Police urge caution from anyone who crosses his path. If you think you've seen him, call the State Police or 911 immediately, but do not approach him.
