The Boston Red Sox beat the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night, October 25th at Fenway Park to take a 2-0 lead in the Best of 7 Series. The teams are off on Thursday before playing Games 3,4 and 5 (if necessary) in Los Angeles.
Wednesday night David Price pitched his 2nd postseason gem, going 6 innings allowing just 3 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 5 and walked 3. Joe Kelly pitched a hitless 7th inning, Nathan Eovaldi a hitless 8th and Craig Kimbrel needed just 9 pitches to pick up the save in the 9th innning.
Mookie Betts was 3-4, with a double. Xander Bogaerts also had a double and JD Martinez drove in 2 runs.
Rick Porcello is scheduled to pitch Friday night for the Red Sox. You can hear Game 3 on WDEA AM 1370 with the pregame starting at 7PM and first pitch at 8:09PM. No team will have the designated hitter in Games 3-5 as they will be played in National League parks.
