9 PM Update

Emera Maine has made huge progress in restoring power to customers since this morning, as nearly half of those without power as of 4 AM now have it back! At 9 PM, 3146 customers were without power with 2881 of those in Hancock County.

Hancock County customers are expected to have power restored by the end of Friday, and crews being freed up from other areas are being redeployed to Hancock County where it will be all hands on deck until power is restored

 

4 PM Update

Emera Maine has made huge progress in restoring power to customers since this morning, as nearly half of those without power as of 4 AM now have it back! At 4 PM, 4378 customers were without power with 3770 of those in Hancock County.

Crews have found nearly 80 utility poles broken mostly  in Hancock County. Customers are encouraged to call the Customer Service Center if they have not reported their outage or if there is an urgent situation in their area.

It's Thursday, November 6th, Day 5 of power outages for Emera Maine customers as a result of the Sunday snowstorm that dumped more than a foot of wet, heavy snow on tree laden trees. As of 4 AM this morning, there were 8099 customers without power, with more than half, 5984, in Hancock County.

Emera Maine has brought on an additional 40 contract workers to help with the restoration efforts. You can view the live outage map HERE and the full outage report HERE
