"MDI relies heavily on our local Coast Guard to aid and ensure the safely of our fishing and boating community. We know they are struggling during this government shutdown to meet basic needs, so we are hosting a potluck, open mic, and silent auction to raise funds to aid the members of the local Coast Guard and their families. Donations will be taken at the door. If you are interested in contributing to the potluck please contact Evelyn Harper via messenger. Budd Williams is organizing the open mic so please direct any questions towards him. If you have an item you would like to donate for the silent auction contact Carla Minctons. This event is BYOB so grab a drink and come have a good time for a good cause."
