Police: Glenburn Girl’s Name in National Missing Persons Database [NEW PHOTOS]

Scarborough police say they have confirmation from the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department that the name of a missing girl from Glenburn is on a national missing persons list. Nichole Cable was last seen in her driveway on Sunday evening, when she told her mother she was meeting up with someone she knows.

The southern Maine department put out a bulletin on Facebook earlier today saying that Cable "may be with a male who had used a fake name on facebook to lure her in and gain her trust."

Nichole has been listed as missing and her name has been added to the National Crime Information Center database, or NCIC. It's a computerized database, so if her name is entered into any law enforcement computer, it will let them know that she's missing.

Details are sketchy at this time, but Nichole's mom, Kristine, talked with Susan Patten earlier today. She said that her 15-year-old daughter left some personal things behind, like her cell phone charger and make-up.

Police initially looked into another teen, but he was cleared when it was determined that he was with family when Nichole disappeared. He had also previously reported to police that his Facebook account had been hacked and someone was using his information and image to contact others on the social media site.

The Sheriff's Department says when Nichole was last seen, she was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, light-colored jeans, and black sneakers. Anyone with any information about Nichole is asked to call the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department at (207) 945-4636 or 911.
